Accreditations
The bodies that check our work, and what that check means for you.
Associated British Ports
Southampton Port operator
What this accreditation is
Associated British Ports owns and operates the Port of Southampton, including all five cruise terminals (City, Horizon, Mayflower, Ocean, QEII). Any operation that works airside of the dock gates — picking up, dropping off, or moving vehicles on ABP land — must be approved by ABP.
Cruise Azure Parking is an approved operator at the Port of Southampton. Our vehicles and staff are permitted to operate at the drop-off and collection points directly in front of every cruise terminal.
What it required us to meet
- Approved-operator registration, renewed annually, with ABP-issued identification for every vehicle and member of staff.
- Compliance with port byelaws covering vehicle access, speed limits, and restricted-area conduct.
- Evidence of insurance cover that meets ABP minimums (our cover sits at £2 million public liability).
- A nominated responsible contact reachable during operating hours for port incidents or instructions.
What it means for you
We operate directly in front of every terminal rather than dropping you at a car park a mile away.
Staff you meet at the terminal are ABP-approved and wearing identification recognised by port security.
Buy With Confidence
Trading Standards approved
What this accreditation is
Buy With Confidence is the UK Trading Standards-approved business scheme. Every member has been vetted by their local Trading Standards team and agrees to trade fairly, honour refund and cancellation rights, and accept independent mediation if a dispute arises.
Listing on Buy With Confidence is discretionary. Trading Standards can and do remove businesses that fail to meet their code of conduct. Our ongoing membership is a live signal that our booking and refund practices have been independently reviewed.
What it required us to meet
- A documented complaints procedure with clear timeframes for acknowledgement and resolution.
- Clear, non-misleading advertising: price, service description, and terms in plain English.
- Honouring statutory cancellation rights, including the 14-day cooling-off window for online bookings.
- Referee checks and Trading Standards inspection before approval, renewed periodically thereafter.
What it means for you
If you book with us and feel you have not been treated fairly, you have an escalation route beyond our own team.
Our refund, cancellation, and advertising practices are held to a standard set by Trading Standards, not by us alone.
What these mean, plainly
Two different organisations looked at us. One approved our permission to operate on port. One checked how we treat customers when things go wrong. Either can revoke their approval at any time. Both choose not to.
