Anthem of the Seas Parking Southampton: Ocean Terminal Guide
Everything we know about parking for an Anthem of the Seas sailing from Southampton, including which terminal she uses, family-friendly handover options, and flat seasonal pricing.
Sorting out anthem of the seas parking southampton ahead of a Royal Caribbean sailing is one of those small jobs that quietly decides how the first hour of your holiday feels. Anthem of the Seas is Royal Caribbean's Southampton flagship, sailing from April through to October on Northern Europe, Mediterranean, Norwegian Fjords and Iberia itineraries. She is a big ship carrying a lot of families, which means car parks fill quickly and the kerbside at the terminal is busy. We have parked thousands of Royal Caribbean guests over the years, and this guide explains exactly what to expect, which terminal she berths at, and how to choose between Meet & Greet and Park & Ride for an Anthem holiday.
Which terminal does Anthem of the Seas use?
Anthem of the Seas almost always berths at the Ocean cruise terminal on Berths 46 and 47, in the Eastern Docks. Ocean is the larger and more modern of the two Eastern Docks terminals and is purpose-built for ships of Anthem's class, with the longer drop-off frontage and luggage handling capacity a 4,900-passenger Quantum-class ship needs.
On the occasional overflow turnaround, when a second large Royal Caribbean or partner ship is in port the same morning, Anthem can be redirected to the QEII cruise terminal on Berths 38 and 39, also in the Eastern Docks. We watch the daily port schedule on your behalf and our drivers know your terminal before you arrive, so even if there is a last minute switch you do not need to call us with an update. Always trust the terminal printed on your final Royal Caribbean SetSail documents over anything you read in advance.
Both Ocean and QEII sit on the same side of the port, just over 1.5 miles from our compound near the port at SO19 4DY. The drive between us and either terminal is about five minutes outside rush hour.
Why most Anthem families choose Meet & Greet
Royal Caribbean's UK guest base on Anthem skews heavily towards families and multi-generational groups. A typical booking we see is two adults, two or three children, sometimes grandparents joining for a milestone holiday. That tends to mean four to six suitcases, a couple of cabin bags, a pushchair, a booster seat, and a child or two who would rather not stand on a shuttle bus after a long drive down the M3.
Our Meet & Greet service is built for exactly this. You drive directly to your assigned terminal, Ocean or QEII, hand the keys to one of our uniformed drivers at the kerb, unload straight onto the porter's trolley, and walk into check-in. No shuttle, no transfers, no juggling kids and cases across a car park. On return, your car is brought back to the same terminal door so the only thing you carry is your luggage to the boot.
For couples or smaller groups travelling light, Park & Ride is still a perfectly sensible choice. You leave your car at our compound, hop on our minibus, and we drop you at the terminal entrance. It is the cheaper option and the shuttle takes around five minutes. The decision really does come down to how much luggage and how many small people you are moving.
Flat pricing for Anthem's typical 7 and 14 night cruises
Anthem of the Seas itineraries from Southampton are usually 7 night Norwegian Fjords or Northern Europe loops, 8 to 12 night Mediterranean and Iberia sailings, or 14 night repositioning style cruises. Our prices are flat by night band, with no seasonal surge and no discount-code chase.
For Park & Ride: £50 for 1 night, £80 for 7 nights, £110 for 14 nights, £130 for 21 nights, £150 for 31 nights.
For Meet & Greet: £80 for 1 night, £130 for 7 nights, £170 for 14 nights, £230 for 21 nights, £245 for 31 nights, £255 for 41 nights.
A standard 7 night Fjords cruise on Anthem therefore costs £80 with Park & Ride or £130 with Meet & Greet. A 14 night Med round trip is £110 or £170. What you see when you book is what you pay. We do not add congestion fees, weekend surcharges or fuel levies on return.
Check-in windows and arrival timing
Royal Caribbean assigns Anthem guests a staggered arrival window in the SetSail Pass, usually between 11:00 and 14:30. Stick to it. The port stewards at Ocean are firm about turning away cars that arrive far outside their slot, because the kerbside has to clear for the next group.
Our service hours run from 07:00 to 16:30, seven days a week, which covers every Royal Caribbean check-in window comfortably. We recommend leaving home with a buffer of around 30 minutes on top of your sat-nav estimate. The M27 around Southampton gets busy on Saturday mornings during the school summer holidays, which is the peak Anthem turnaround period.
If your arrival window is early, drop the car with our Meet & Greet team at the terminal first and stretch your legs in the cruise terminal cafe. If your window is later, our compound has a small waiting area where you can take a break before being shuttled across.
The handover, what we record, and what we do not
Every car we take, on both Meet & Greet and Park & Ride, is walked around on body camera by the receiving driver, outbound at handover and inbound on return. That footage is our shared record of vehicle condition. We do not use tablets, paper logs, or ask you to sign anything at the kerb. The body-cam walk-around is the record.
Your car is then driven the short distance to our compound near the port, which is gated, CCTV monitored, and staffed throughout daylight hours. Public liability insurance of £2 million covers your vehicle for the full duration of your sailing. We hold Trading Standards Buy With Confidence approval and are ABP approved within the port, all listed on our accreditations page.
A note on vehicle type: we are happy with almost everything that arrives, but we cannot take trailers or caravans, and vehicles with hand controls or significant modifications need a quick chat first so we can pair them with a suitable driver. A free wash or a quick electric top-up can sometimes be arranged on request, but neither is a standard part of the service so please ask us directly rather than expect it.
Return day, the bit Royal Caribbean guests ask about most
Disembarkation on Anthem usually starts around 06:30 and runs in colour-coded groups until about 09:30. As soon as you clear UK Border Force, message our driver line from the terminal hall and your car will be at the kerb in around ten to twenty minutes for Meet & Greet, or our next shuttle will collect you for Park & Ride. If you have set a self-disembark time, we work to that. If you choose general disembark, we follow the actual port flow.
If your flight or onward train is tight, tell us at booking and we will note an earliest-possible callback so we are already rolling when you step off.
