Cruise parking add-ons at Southampton: what is available

The add-ons available on a Cruise Azure parking booking: luggage assistance, EV charging, valet cleaning, and how to add them.

The standard Meet & Greet or Park & Ride booking covers the core service. Add-ons are the optional extras you can attach for specific situations. This page covers what is available, what each one does, and how to add them.

The three standard add-ons

Three add-ons are available on a standard cruise parking booking with us:

  • Luggage assistance.
  • Electric car charging.
  • Full valet (car cleaning).

Each is priced live during the booking flow, with the figure shown before card details. Each is optional; the standard booking works fine without any of them.

Luggage assistance

Luggage assistance is help with loading and unloading luggage at the handover. For most customers, the driver assists with luggage as part of the standard handover without a specific add-on; the formal luggage-assistance add-on is for situations where you want a more involved level of help.

When the add-on is worth booking:

  • A large family or group booking with significant luggage volume.
  • Mobility-related needs where extra hands at the handover help.
  • Specific luggage situations (oversized items, awkward shapes, particularly heavy cases).

The cost is shown at booking. The standard handover assist is included whether or not you book the add-on.

EV charging

EV charging is an optional add-on for electric vehicles. We can charge the car during the cruise window so you collect at a state suitable for the drive home.

The exact arrangement (how much charge to add, when to charge) is set at booking or discussed by email before the cruise. The price depends on the amount of charge added.

Charging is optional because most EV customers do not need it. For short cruises, the standby drain is minimal and the car returns at a state close to where you handed it over. For longer cruises, a top-up before return can make the drive home easier.

Full valet (car cleaning)

Full valet is professional cleaning of the car (interior and exterior) during the time it is in our compound. You collect a cleaner car than you handed over.

This is a different service from valet parking. "Valet parking" in the cruise context refers to Meet & Greet (the driver-takes-the-car service). "Full valet" as an add-on is the cleaning service.

The cost depends on the vehicle and the cleaning level. Live pricing is shown at booking.

When the add-on is worth booking:

  • The car is dirty after a long drive to the terminal and you want it clean for the drive home.
  • You are passing through a special occasion after the cruise (a wedding, a special drive) and want the car presentable.
  • The cruise itself was a treat and you want the return experience to match.

How to add add-ons

Three options:

During the booking flow. The booking quote includes an add-ons step where each available add-on is shown with live pricing. Tick the ones you want; the total updates accordingly.

After booking, by email. Email bookings@cruiseazureparking.com with the booking reference and the add-on you want. Subject to availability. The add-on is invoiced separately from the original booking.

After booking, by phone. Call 07767 227 739. Same arrangement.

The earlier you add an add-on, the more likely we can plan for it. Add-ons added the day before the cruise are subject to capacity.

What about other extras

A few requests we get that are not standard add-ons:

Roadside assistance. Not offered as an add-on. Use your standard motor insurance or breakdown cover.

Hotel pre-cruise stays. Not offered as an add-on. We have Park & Stay pages covering the practical options at popular Southampton hotels.

Car rental during your cruise. Not offered. Your car stays in our compound for the duration.

Specific cosmetic repairs during the stay. Not offered. The cleaning add-on does not extend to repair work.

What is included without an add-on

Worth reiterating what the standard rate covers:

  • Driver-led handover at the terminal (Meet & Greet) or the compound (Park & Ride).
  • Body-cammed walk-around with a body-cam record of the walk-around.
  • £2 million public liability insurance for the duration of the booking.
  • Storage in our CCTV-monitored, gated compound with overnight lockdown.
  • The shuttle (Park & Ride) or the terminal drop-off (Meet & Greet).
  • Return of the car to the terminal on cruise return.

None of these are add-ons. They are included in the standard rate.

Cost transparency

All add-on prices are shown live during the booking flow. The figure you see is the figure you pay. There is no fee inflation at checkout.

If you add an add-on after booking, the invoice shows the cost separately from the original booking.
