We do not validate tax or MOT against your booking. The legal responsibility for keeping the vehicle road-legal is yours, including during a long-stay.

EV considerations

EVs lose some charge over time when not in use. On a 30 to 60 day stay this becomes noticeable. The conversation is whether to schedule a top-up before return.

Charging is an optional add-on on request. For a long-stay booking with an EV, a short call before booking covers what makes sense for your specific car and trip.

World cruise and very long sailings

For sailings beyond 60 days, the practical considerations widen. The booking spans the changeover of vehicle tax periods, sometimes the MOT, sometimes insurance renewals. Customers planning these typically have a person back home who can handle paperwork during the trip.

Comparing long-stay quotes

Three traps to watch for on other operators.

Capped duration. Some operators publish a low daily rate that applies only up to a certain duration. The quote you see at booking might not match the rate that applies at the end of a long cruise.

Excluded inclusions. Some operators exclude things on long-stay bookings that are included on shorter ones. Read what is included for the specific duration.

Insurance term. Cover sometimes has a duration cap. Check the term.
